The Suzuki TC120 Cat II

While hunting for a set of exhaust pipes for a Suzuki RG 250 we came across another trail cat. This time it's a runner. The intention is to get this bike mechanically sound with some cosmetic flair

TC120 Tank painted

Just a quick update for everyone. The TC120 tank has been painted but will need to wait for a good day to get the 2 pack clear gloss over the top. Hopefully this weekend  the engine will go back in

TC120 Rear wheel installed

The TC120 is nearly in a rolling state. The forks are on the work bench and just need two last seals installed and the front will be ready to install

TC120 wheels are together

This week the wheels were finished. Spokes laced, bearings in, and new tubes and tyres fitted.. Hopefully the next post will show the wheels on!

TC120 Frame Assembly

Finally the TC120 frame is being put together and the new shocks are on. This bike looks like it's going to be a blast to ride. With parts being challenging to find there might be a few aftermarket parts going onto this one.

TC120 frame and rims painted

Progress for this month is painting the TC120 frame and rims. There’s still loads of cleaning to be done so watch this space as the next milestone is to get this bike rolling again.

TC120 first batch for sandblasting

Tear-downs are usually a quick job but despite the simplicity of a TC120, this little bike turned out to be a real fiddle. Many of the bolts, shafts and nuts were rusted, seized or had bolts that had lost their heads.
