Removing the catalytic converter

Removing the "Cat" for additional performance is a well worth exercise if you can find someone to do a good job - it just so happened I knew such a person... Lamoto63 (check his projects out on Shepsters).

As far as I know only Arrow makes performance headers for this bike, but at $400 it was a little rich for me so I had a chat to my mate Lamoto63 and it was on -  see my video showing how it was done.

Unfortunately, I did not get the bike dyno'ed so I have no idea how many horses were unleashed but there is no doubt additional ponies arrived. This mod is best done with:

1. A flashed ECU e.g. ECUWEST Performance Technology

2. A slip-on exhaust e.g Remus

3. Removal of the oxygen sensors from the headers and installation of o2 Oxygen Lambda Sensor Eliminators Yamaha XTZ 1200 Super Tenere 2011 - 2014
